Tomorrow morning the Russian Federation will ask the WHO EB to

to include the item :

 

“Further actions to address the global burden of epilepsy and its health and social implications at the country level” into the Agenda of the 72 WHA in order to:

 

·       develop a “Global action plan  for epilepsy”

 

·       prepare a new report on the implementation of the WHA Resolution 68.20, to be discussed  at the 74th WHA in 2021

His Excellency Mr.Sergeenko was approached by Professors Natela Okudjava, Nana Tatishvili and Sofia Kasradze.

His Excellency kindly agreed to express the support of Georgia for  the request of the Russian Federation

to include the item :

 

“Further actions to address the global burden of epilepsy and its health and social implications at the country level” into the Agenda of the 72 WHA in order to:

 

·       develop a “Global action plan  for epilepsy”

 

·       prepare a new report on the implementation of the WHA Resolution 68.20, to be discussed  at the 74th WHA in 2021

 

A few days ago His Excellency Mr.Sergeenko kindly confirmed this support  at the meeting with the Russian Representative Mr. Salakhov.

The discussion of the WHA 72 agenda will most probably take place on Thursday or on Friday.
