Dear partners,

a few remarks regarding our workshop from my side:

• The program Irina sent to you is only indicative: Of course we can move faster with certain parts, or slow down if need be.

• It is important for us to highlight that we really need to get some work done, so please prepare for a workshop in the literal sense of the word 😉. In the attachment, you will find our task – the forms for the EU full application, and the logframe. Both need to be submitted to the EU by 20 February, so we have one month to go.

• Luckily, we have help – our great colleagues from the FES Brussels office support us, as well as Eva Maaten, an experienced consultant in the art of EU proposal writing. They are all CC-ed to this e-mail.

• Our main tasks for the weekend, more specifically, are:

• to describe our planned activities, including the timing and sequence (action plan, see pp. 8 and 22 of the full proposal document – so what is it that we actually want to do, when, how, and with how many people?
• to complete the Logframe with indicators, baselines and means of verification;
• to draft a first budget, including the division of funds;
• and, to discuss the possible impact, the sustainability of actions, and the risks (p. 23 of the proposal).

• Eva has started to work on the documents, based on our concept note that I also attach. We will submit the results of our discussions immediately to her after the workshop, and then she will prepare the next version of the documents.

So in short: the more answers we find on Saturday and Sunday, the easier the task will be.

I am looking forward to our meeting; and please get in touch if there is anything to clarify in the run-up.
