Dear Volkan and Maddalena,

This is to request WB assistance to help the Ministry in translation of certain documents (please see attached), to  proceed with the project implementation (finalize POM, announce LMP and ESMF) without delays.

Your prompt feedback on this is highly appreciated.

Best regards,

Nino

Subject: RE: Georgia COVID -19 project - draft ESMF

Dear Jelena,

For your review, please find attached ESMF, in which LMP and ICWMP is incorporated. The document mostly has been reviewed by PIU specialists, however we have requested additional clarification/legal documents from the Ministry’s internal departments. Hopefully they will get back to us quickly and we will update the document accordingly.

Feel free to comment/amend or make a recommendation on the document.

Sincerely,

Nino Kvernadze

Subject: RE: Georgia COVID -19 project - draft ESMF

Dear Nino,

I hope all is well. As we discussed last week, we are sharing with your team zero draft ESMF. As you will see, it is 70-80% ready. We marked the sections [in yellow and comment boxes] where the PIU needs to provide more details and information.

David Jijelava can work more closely with your team this week.

Can we agree to receive a revised draft ESMF for the World Bank review and comments by Monday, July 6th?

It would be helpful to start thinking now about the ESMF and SEP virtual consultations strategy. Please, let us know if you have any questions.

Best, Jelena

Dear Nino:

Hope all is well. As we discussed on Monday, we are sharing with you following documents:

-          Zero draft Labor management procedure (LMP) – we drafted it. Please, review and add more details.

-          Generic LMP template with additional guidance for COVID-19 projects – it will help you with drafting LMP

-          WB Technical note for COVID -19 projects involving civil works (your team will need it to prepare ESMF)

-          WB Guidance note for consultations in COVID-19 projects

-          SEA/SH prevention guidance for COVID-19 projects – measures to include in ESMF and LMP

-          ESMF template for COIVID-19 projects

-          Vaccines and OHS risks guidance and measure

We understand that this is quite a lot to read and digest for your team. This guidance will help you prepare and finalize ESMF and LMP.

We will be sending additional ESF resources in a separate email.

We needed more time to review zero draft of the ESMF, so we will share it at the later point.

Looking forward to talking to you and your team at 5pm.

Best, Jelena
