Dear Marc,
Thx indeed for the info and kind invitation. Also, hereby let me give you some updates in this regard. Right after the general coordination meeting held
last Monday EUD applied to MFA requesting the latter assistance (as agreed during the meeting of 8th) in further elaboration of two concepts (provided by IOM and ICMPD) aiming at top-ups of currently running projects (SBMMG-ENIGMMA2). The action
within the prolonged projects will inter-alia cover needs listed in EU-GE JAP. With that in mind the Secretariat started circulation of above mentioned concepts (now it is in MoH) and most probably by 23rd you will get the (IOM’s part) with the
remarks of relevant SCMI entities, who meanwhile will be in contact with you to consult with regard of different aspects of their relevant interest.
Regards,
G

Subject: SBMMG top-up funds - coordination meeting 23 July
Dear all,
You will all be aware of the plans of the EU to add funding to the currently funded project of IOM called SBMMG, as part of newly agreed interventions formulated in the joint action plan
to decrease the irregular migration and security challenges linked to the travel of Georgian citizens to the EU.
With that in mind, IOM wishes to invite you to a coordination meeting on 23 July, scheduled to run from 10.30 until maximum noon. We will let you know once the venue for this event has been selected.
We believe this will be a good opportunity to brief all the directly involved interlocutors of ours in the Georgian state structures of our plans, as broadly agreed with the EU, how to make use of the additional funds that the EU has pledged
to make available, and to get your feedback before we officially submit to the EU the SBMMG project and budget revision.
We hope that you and/or your colleagues will be able to attend on the 23rd and look forward to meeting you then.
Best wishes,
Marc
