We would like to express our deep appreciation and gratitude on very fruitful and successful cooperation for the well-being of children of Georgia.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), the most widely ratified Human Rights treaty in
history. As you know, the CRC was ratified by Georgia in 1994 and UNICEF is proud to partner with your Excellency to support progress towards the fulfillment of the rights of every child in Georgia.
The CRC Anniversary is celebrated globally, and UNICEF Georgia also commemorates the
Anniversary by a number of events involving young people, policy makers and influencers.
I am pleased to invite you to the concert that UNICEF National Ambassador in Georgia Nikoloz Rachveli and 10-year-old composer and musician Tsotne Zedgenize are dedicating
to this important anniversary to draw once again public attention to the most vulnerable children and protection of child rights.
We are grateful to Nikoloz and to the Georgian National Philharmonic orchestra for their dedication to children’s rights and we are glad that Tsotne
also joins us in promoting child rights in Georgia.
I am looking very much forward to seeing you at the concert at the Tbilisi Opera on
1 October, at 20:00 to enjoy beautiful music together.
