Dear Ms. Marina Darakhvelidze,

On behalf of UNDP Ukraine Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme (RPP) let me express sincere appreciation to the healthcare reform implemented in Georgia. The RPP has a component aimed at support of healthcare reform localisation in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine. Georgia has succeeded with healthcare reform and UNDP RPP would be happy to learn about practical aspects of the implementation.

Main topics of interest are i) management of health care within hospital districts, ii) principles of healthcare planning and adjustment of e-Health to ordinary primary and hospital care medical practice, and iii) financial mechanisms and share of funds between primary and hospital levels of care.

Ongoing armed conflict on the west of Ukraine is rising the need of quality healthcare provision for internally displaced people, medical services provision for people from conflict affected territory, and cooperation between civil and military medicine.

We would be grateful to hear about any opportunity of technical and expert cooperation for a sake of learning the experience of Georgia.

Preliminary, we scheduled the visit on the mid or late of September 2019 for about 10 participants.

Please find attachments to see more about UNDP RPP.

Let me reiterate my sincere appreciation and I am looking forward for your approval of the visit..

Ms. Ekaterine Kavtaradze from GHG advise.

Sincerely,

Sergii Rudyi, MD, MPA.

Dear Sergii,

Nice to hear from you. Thank you, I am fine, a bit overwhelmed by all work, but you know how this goes :)

To organize the visit, I’d suggest to contact either a deputy minister or a head of the health department. Please find below their email addresses:

Deputy Minister - Ms. Tamar Gabunia tgabunia@moh.gov.ge

Head of Department - Ms. Marina Darakhvelidze

Success and best wishes,

Nino

Dear Dr. Makhashvili,

It was pleasure to meet you in Kramatorsk and make interesting discussion about project design. Hope that your project is going well and we might see in Kramatorsk again.

In the framework of UNDP project we going to visit Georgia to learn about experience of health reform and organisation of health care management. Upon suggestion of my colleague Dr. Otiashvili I tried to reach out Ms. Ekaterine Adamia from Ministry of Health but in two weeks I see no reply.

Could you please advise, who I should contact to make this visit happen?

Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,
