Dear COVAX Participant,  

 

Thank you for your continued engagement with the COVAX Facility.  

 

Today, we are excited to announce the launch of the new COVAX Collaboration Platform. Please note that this Platform is separate from the already existing Country Portal for Gavi support outside COVAX.  



Your Gavi Senior Country Manager or COVAX Focal Point has put your name forward as one of the representatives for your economy with special user access to this restricted Platform. It is our hope that this platform will provide an intuitive interface to promote efficient two-way communications between each participant and the COVAX Facility, thus minimising administrative delays and the loss of information during allocation rounds. To this end, it will serve as a centralised and secure repository of bespoke country communications, in which you will find in one location all official notification letters tailored to your country as well as forms and other documents either already submitted or requiring submission. Further to this storage function, the Platform will be used to assign new tasks specific to each Participant – visible only to its access-holders – and to announce upcoming events and updates of interest, which will help to navigate the dynamic timelines of the COVAX programme.  

 

·         The Platform has multiple inbuilt functionalities for Participants, including the following:  View upcoming and past allocation rounds, view allocations, allocation communications and request to skip an allocation round  

·         Directly contact your focal point at the Facility via the platform 

·         Update Vaccine Request/Vaccine Information Form (VRF/VIF), including vaccine preferences 

·         View tasks that have been assigned by a COVAX Team Member and, once completed, mark the task as done  

·         View the calendar of upcoming events, such as briefings and submission deadlines 

 

Note that further functionalities will enhance the platform over time, of which you will be notified in due course. Also please note that NDVP submission and review will continue to be performed via WHO’s own Partner’s Platform.  

 

To facilitate your introduction to the COVAX Collaboration Platform, the following resources are available to you:  

·         Access to written guidelines on the portal 

·         Demo recordings on the portal 

·         Q&A sessions with Gavi experts, for which you will receive a calendar invitation are scheduled for: 

o    Wed April 7th 2021, 10 – 11h (CET) 

o    Wed April 7th 2021, 17 – 18h (CET) 

o    Thur April 8th 2021, 15 - 16h (CET) 

·         Opportunity to raise queries to your usual country focal point. 

 

We encourage you to attend a live demonstration as noted above, held by the GAVI Knowledge Management and Technology Solutions Team. This will give you an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the platform and, for relevant focal persons, to understand the similarities and differences with the GAVI Country Portal. 

 

Please not that once the link to the Platform is clicked, Users will receive an email communication labelled OKTA with a link to reset the password. Resetting the password will require a mobile phone number for purposes of verifying the One Time Passcode (OTP) received.

We trust that you find the new Platform to be a helpful tool for streamlining your country’s work with the COVAX Facility, and that the guidance provided here is useful to you.  We welcome your feedback, which will aid us in refining the interface and its functionalities so as to guarantee the best fit-for-purpose possible.  

 

Your COVAX Facility focal point will be your first point of contact regarding both the Platform and for matters relating to your vaccine preferences in advance of allocation rounds. Therefore, please contact your COVAX Facility focal point should you have any questions, access issues, or should you wish to suggest an additional country representative be granted user access to the Platform.
