Dear Tamar,
As requested, please find attached a presentation for the UHC Board meeting. This presentation is built upon my presentation given to the UHC Board in December 2019. Please note that the presentation is intended to update the Board on the progress of NHS development and also suggests strategic priorities on the basis of the recently conducted stakeholder interviews. Regarding the strategic goals, please note that the presentation includes the draft strategic objectives, too. However, as these may require further discussions and elaborations, the corresponding slides 13-19 are hidden.
In addition to the presentation on the progress of NHS development, please find attached another presentation on my recommendations for the health system reform in Georgia. This presentation is intended to suggest and introduce possible reform steps in accordance with the strategic goals presented in the other presentation. It would be a pleasure for me to present and discuss my recommendations with you and Madam Minister as planned earlier.
Finally, please also find attached the zero draft version of the template for the NHS document. Please note that the sections are highlighted in yellow were prepared as guidelines for the technical experts of the Ministry, while I also started to draft the technical content of the strategic document in accordance with the presentations above. Please also note that this document is supposed to be a draft for your information only. On the basis of your comments a revised working document will be prepared for the technical working group who can write the strategy accordingly.

Many thanks for putting this together. The finding are very interesting and aligns will with Ministry’s understanding of strategic priorities. I have a few suggestions to share:
1. Since this is the first UHC board meeting after a long break, and we have new members there, It would be good to have an introductory slide about the strategy development project, EC support and the implementing team.
2. Would it be possible to develop the strategic framework which would show the purpose, strategic areas as you prepared last year? The key outcome of the IHC board meeting should be a preliminary agreement on strategic priorities. Therefore, I think we should extend the presentation to include more detailed outline of strategic framework.
