დღეს გამოცხადდა კიდევ ერთი მნიშვნელოვანი სიახლე COVID-19- ის წინააღმდეგ ბრძოლაში:
AZD1222- აშშ ჩატარებულმა მესამე ფაზის კვლევამ აჩვენა სტატისტიკურად სარწმუნო შედეგი:
79% ეფექტურობა სიმტომური COVID-19 და 100% ეფექტურობა დაავადების სიმძიმის და ჰოსპიტალიზაციის პრევენციისათვის.
ეფექტურობის და უსაფრთხოების შუალედური ანალიზი ეფუძნებოდა 32,449 მონაწილეს COVID-19-ის 141 სიმპტომური შემთხვევის
გათვალისწინებით. კვლევაში მიმდინარეობდა 2:1 რანდომიზაცია ვაქცინას და პლაცებოს შორის.
ვაქცინის ეფექტურობა შეინიშნება რასის და ასაკის ყველა ჯგუფში, ასევე პაციენტებში 65 წლის და ზემოთ, ვაქცინის ეფექტურობა
იყო 80%.
ვაქცინა კარგად გადაიტანეს და მონაცემთა უსაფრთხოების მონიტორინგის დამოუკიდებელი საბჭოს(DSMB) მიერ არ დაფიქსირებულა
უსაფრთხოების მონაცემებიდან გადახრა. DSMB– მ ჩაატარა თრომბოზული მოვლენების მიმოხილვა დამოუკიდებელი ნევროლოგის მიერ. საბჭოს არ აღმოუჩენია თრომბოზის რისკის ან თრომბოზთან ასოცირებული მოვლენების გაზრდილი რისკი 21,583 მონაწილეს შორის, რომელთაც მიიღეს მინიმუმ ერთი
დოზა ვაქცინა.
