Don't Miss the NCI Director's Address

Dr. Ned Sharpless will present his NCI Director's Address live on Sunday, following the AACR opening ceremony. His presentation will include an NCI update, after which, he will be joined by AACR President, Dr. Antoni Ribas, in a fireside chat. 

Cancer Moonshot Progress Update

Mark your calendars for an update on the Cancer Moonshot from NCI Deputy Director, Dr. Dinah Singer. Dr. Singer will discuss the progress and scientific accomplishments made to date, how NCI has addressed the goals of the Cancer Moonshot, and the future of the scientific research.

Awards and Lectures

We are excited to announce that several NCI leaders and experts have been chosen to receive prestigious awards from AACR at this year's meeting. Tune in for their lectures, which will be available on-demand throughout the meeting.

  • Douglas R. Lowy, MD, FAACR - AACR Margaret Foti Award for Leadership and Extraordinary Achievements in Cancer Research
  • Stephen J. Chanock, MD - AACR-American Cancer Society Award for Research Excellence in Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention (*Lecture will be available beginning in May*)
  • Brigitte C. Widemann, MD - AACR-Joseph H. Burchenal Award for Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Cancer Research

 

We also want to congratulate Curtis C. Harris, MD for his acceptance into the 2021 AACR Class of Fellows of the AACR Academy.
