Interview for monitoring PHC project. 11th Floor.
Dear Mrs Gabunia,
I would like follow our last and productive meeting. Firstly, let me update you with current status of the projects and other activities of the Czech Development Agency (CzDA) in assistance with health care to Georgia:
1. Ongoing project on quality management in PHC: We started thorough monitoring of this project. The reason is to get an evidence based answers to questions: what is applicable for following project in 2020, what can we additionally finance in 2019.
2. Ongoing project on prevention and early diagnosis of cancer: Our partners are going to put screening centre in Zugdidi into operation during following weeks. They will start information campaign simultaneously. We continue in consultation about MoU between CzDA and NCDC.
3. Preparation of new project on PHC would start immediately. Actually, it will be connected with monitoring mentioned above. I can not say when the project would start. There are several obligatory procedures (formulation of ToR, selection of implementing partner, ...). The plan is to start full implementation of the project in the 1st half of next year. i will do my best for star at the beginning of 2020.
4. Preparation for donor - Georgian government coordination: As you know, the Czech Embassy has status of coordinator behalf of donors for Social Welfare (including Health Care). We would like to prepare list of currently ongoing and planned reform steps in Health Care
Please, would you help us with issues under points 1. 3. and 4.? You probably know our consultant Magda Metreveli (in cc). She supports the Embassy/CzDA with these issues. So, Magda will probably kindly ask you and/or your colleagues for interview very soon. Unfortunately I can not participate due to my current workload but Magda is well instructed and she has confidence either of me or CzDA.
