I hope my message finds you well and you and your family are healthy.

I am writing this message to say thank you for the excellent partnership I enjoyed working with you in the last two years. I truly respected your commitment and professionalism and the open dialogue we had on a number of issues. I admired your ability to set challenging goals and be consistent in mobilizing resources to achieve them.

I am sad, but this message is also to say goodbye. The position of international chief child protection in Georgia UNICEF Office is abolished as of 31^st December and will be replaced by a national expert. While I do agree that it makes sense as Georgia has a pool of excellent experts, I am still sad to leave and not be able to contribute further to the ambitious reform agenda in the country and the newly signed EU project. Teona is now the OIC for Chief Child Protection and will be in touch with you to discuss the project activities. The recruitment for a permanent chief will be finalized within the next 2 months.

I do hope that our paths will cross again!
