I revert to you following the attached Aide-Memoire we shared on November 24^th 2020, which gathers the findings of the discussion with our colleagues from MoLHSA and MoESD during the identification mission that was conducted on October 2020 by our Expert Nicolas Le Guen and our colleagues from Expertise France.

 

AFD is willing to support the government to develop social welfare considering any evolutions and any approaches that would meet the needs and fill the gaps taking into account the new context and new challenges. A technical assistance for an amount of 1 MEUR has been approved in December 2020 for 4 years. In 2021, such TA could play a central role in accompanying the reflexion.

 

Thus, comments and feedback from MoLHSA on the attached document “Aide-Memoire” are important to us. It will help to understand better the orientations that should be given to our future collaboration.

 

According to your availability, we propose to arrange an on-line meeting in the coming days to discuss the document and next steps.

Dear Vice-Ministers, colleagues,

 

We are writing in the framework of the Project Identification Mission conducted by AFD in October 2020, to explore the possibilities for further cooperation.

 

We have sent you the attached Aide-Memoire on November 24^th, gathering the findings of the discussion with our colleagues from MoLHSA and MoESD and we are waiting for the formal request for financing a technical assistance (1 MEUR) in 2021, as discussed with you and with our colleagues from Mof.

 

Taking into account the future growing social demand in a crisis context, AFD is willing and ready to support the government to develop social welfare considering any new evolutions and any new approaches that would meet the needs and fill the gaps. The Technical assistance could play a central role in accompanying the reflection.

 

We are suggesting organizing a skype meeting to exchange with you and our colleague Nicolas Le Guen and, if possible, our colleagues from Expertise France, on the Aide-Memoire in order to have your feedback on the document and understand better the orientations that should be given to our future collaboration.

 

We would like to propose the meeting next week, for example on Wednesday 9^th, December, according to your availability.
