Dear Tamuna,
As promised – please see attached a draft presentation for the Belarus conference. Keti was kind enough to prepare it. It might be good to add some numbers there for the current situation – how many foster parents, how many services, etc.
If you are available, we can discuss it tomorrow and then send for translation into Russian as the event is on Thursday.
Best regards,
Milena

Hi Milena,
Sorry for belated reply. With pandemic situation and elections its been a bot hectic here at the Ministry. I would love to participate in the conference. I will however appreciate your support in preparation of presentation. May be we can meet (online) before conference the right after elections and discuss the presentation topic.
Much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Tamuna

Subject: invitation for a presentation on de-institutionalization for a conference in Belarus
Dear Tamuna,
I am writing to you about an international conference on de-institutionalization in Belarus.
We were approached by our Regional Office and UNICEF Office in Belarus with the kind request to help them invite a Government speaker for a conference. The conference/round table will take place on 5th November, half day and will include around 450 participants. In addition to the local participants, there will be international speakers from US, UK, North Macedonia, Moldova and Georgia. Main purpose is to generate political momentum to push for the DI reform in Belarus. They are particularly interested to learn about the experience in Georgia related to children with disabilities as majority of children in care in Belarus have disabilities. Presentation will be on-line and the whole session is around 30 minutes as you can see in the attached agenda.
Do you think it would be possible for you to make this presentation? From our side, we are ready to help with preparation and any other logistical issue.
Best regards,
Milena
