Dear Ms Phirtskhalashvili,

Thank you for sharing these great news! May I kindly ask you if you or ministry is planning to translate this approved law to English (we have a pre-agreement that approved documents directly concerning our cooperation shall be translated by the Georgian side) as our experts are eager to assess it in terms of compliance of relevant condition for EU Macro-Economic Assistance to Georgia and the EU funded Skills 4 Jobs Programme.

Kind regards,

Subject: The Law of Georgia on Employment Promotion

Ladies and gentlemen,

We are pleased to inform you, that the Parliament of Georgia adopted "the Law of Georgia on Employment Promotion" in the third reading of the current week. The initiative group of the draft law took into account the recommendations issued by the EU experts and the Parliament of Georgia shared the above-mentioned changes. Accordingly, all essential recommendations are reflected in the text of the law. (The enactment of Article 33. was postponed for a period of 2 years on the basis of a compromise).

We would also like to inform you that we are starting to work on an action plan of the law and for the future implementation of it, cooperation with you and the institutional support of the European Union is also very important.

Best wishes,

Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee
