Subject: OECD Investment Policy Review of Georgia

Dear colleagues,

We hope this email finds you well and in good health. We are pleased to share with you the draft report of the OECD Investment Policy Review of Georgia 2020. It includes an analysis of FDI trends, the domestic regulatory framework and investor protections, policies to promote sustainable investment in the agri-food value chain, strategies and instruments for investment promotion, and opportunities to strengthen responsible business conduct in Georgia. The report was developed under the project EU4Business: From Policies to Action.

We would be grateful if you could circulate the report to members of the Task Force to provide initial comments and feedback, which we could then discuss in detail bilaterally via a video call, e.g. on Tuesday, 1 September 2020 from 14:00-16:00 Paris time (16:00-18:00 Tbilisi time).

We would also like to take this opportunity to schedule the next Task Force Meeting for the OECD Investment Policy Review of Georgia. This meeting will gather relevant stakeholders from the Government of Georgia, private sector, NGOs, business associations, international organisations and embassies, to discuss the draft report and provide feedback on the proposed recommendations. The meeting will also take place in an online format (via Zoom video call), and could be held on Wednesday, 9 September 2020 from 9:00-11:00 Paris time (11:00-13:00 Tbilisi time). Please let us know if the proposed dates and timeslots for these meetings are convenient for you, and we will prepare a draft agenda and invitation email for you to circulate with the members of the task force.

We then plan on revising the report to incorporate comments and feedback received from task force members, before it is presented for peer review at the OECD Investment Committee, tentatively scheduled for Monday, 28 September 2020.

Thank you for your support and co-operation, and we remain at your disposal should you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Jibran
