Dear Deputy Minister Barkalaia,
Thank you very much for agreeing to participate and highlighting the fantastic work in Georgia on rolling out the Universal Child Grant. As the topic of the webinar is the decline in global remittances and its impact on children, we are
particularly interested in how the UCG may have alleviated some of the impact of declining remittances on children that are dependent on these funds.
Please find attached the Concept Note, and we will be in touch next week with a more detailed agenda, and with instructions on the presentations. As the audience will be mainly other member states, they would certainly be interested in
challenges and lessons learnt that may be applicable beyond the specific context in Georgia. There is no need for a Power Point, and you would have about 5 min to present. Please do not hesitate to be in touch with any immediate questions you may have.
Thank you again for making the time to join, we very much appreciate it.
Best regards,
Saskia

Dear Saskia,
I would like to introduce you Deputy minister Tamuna Barkalaia from the Ministry of health ( Ministry of Internally displaced person from the occupied territories, labor, health and social affairs), who was leading the implementation of
the universal child grants in Georgia. She kindly agreed to present Georgia’s case. Deputy minister probably will require more information on the webinar, agenda, concept note and may be couple of words on your expectations regarding the case presentation.
I wish you a successful cooperation,
Best Regards,
Nino Davitashvili
