Dear Deputy Minister Mikabadze,

On behalf of UN Women, it is my pleasure to invite you to the Gender Pay Gap at Georgia launch of the Equal Pay International Coalition (EPIC) in Tbilisi on September 18^th at 13:30hrs (online event link: https://bit.ly/33plRaZ). Please find a detailed concept note and agenda attached to this email.

In light of the epidemiological situation, we are organizing a pre-event signing ceremony that will include a video recording of the signing and some video interviews that will be shared with media. In recognition of your support to Georgia’s joining of the EPIC, we would be honoured if you would also be part of this private signing event. Below is a summary of the pre-event signing ceremony:

• Participants will gather at 12:45hrs at the Ministry of Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs office.
• Along with you Deputy Minister, Lela Akiashvili, Tamila Barkalaia, and Tamar Sabedashvili will be other participants of the pre-event;
• EPIC commitments document is planned to be signed within the pre-event (Lela Akiashvili, Tamila Barkalaia);
• photo and video shooting is planned, the cameraman and photographer will be an employee of the PR service of the Ministry and not a journalists;
• In addition, 2-3 minute video will be recorded about the equal pay for each participant and the importance of Georgia's membership in the EPIC;
• After the pre-event, a press release with video and photo material will be spread in the media, the televisions will decide what to use;
• The meeting will start at 1.30, as planned - the Ministry offers a conference hall, from where it will be possible to participate in the online meeting. All participants of the pre-event are invited to stay in the Ministry until the end of the online meeting.

We apologize sincerely for the short notice for this request, however, due to the changing epidemiological situation, these were last minute changes that needed to be considered. This pre-event ceremony is the proposed way to provide TV media footage to enable them air the story and provide coverage on EPIC more broadly.
