Dear Colleagues
I am writing about the VET Donor Presentations event that will be held online
next Friday, 11th December 2020 between 10.00 and 13.30. The event is being organized on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport with support from the Technical Assistance Team of the EU Skills for Jobs programme.
Although the agenda that I previously circulated had been provisionally agreed with the MoESCS, and most of you have already confirmed the name of your presenter, the MoESCS has informed me today about a change
in the format of the event, which will now be based on a thematic concept, with an amended agenda..
Instead of only asking for general presentations of donors’ programmes and plans, Deputy Minister Tamar Kitiashvili would now like the event to be organized as a Donors’ Round Table. In the new format, donor
presentations will be made within three thematic panel sessions, each involving a number of donor representatives. She is asking each donor to focus their presentation on their donor interventions related to the theme of the panel in which the Ministry is
asking them to participate. The MoESCS has asked that the presentations are short (5-10 minutes in length) and tightly focused, in order to allow sufficient time for questions and discussion.
The new draft agenda is attached. The suggested participation of donor organizations in each panel session is highlighted in yellow on the draft agenda.
I hope that this change of plan by the Ministry will not cause you too much inconvenience and that you have not already prepared a presentation according to the previous expectations. However, it is possible
that the change of agenda might lead you to reconsider who should now present on behalf of your programme.
I should therefore be grateful if you would kindly re-confirm as soon as possible your participation and the name(s) of your panel presenter(s).
Once again I would like to thank you for your understanding.
With best regards
David Handley
