The training, supported by the South Caucasus Office of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Health Research Union, and the WHO-led EU-led Readiness Assessment revealed the need to improve infection prevention and control practices in medical facilities. For this purpose, the Ministry of Health, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the Occupied Territories of Georgia (hereinafter referred to as the "Ministry") developed the Health Policy Division and the LEPL Agency for Regulation of Medical and Pharmaceutical Activities, within the state health programs, inpatient infection control system. Function check tool. The instrument (approved in August of the current year) is scheduled to launch on October 1, 2020. A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with representatives of medical institutions to edit the instrument. A pilot study of the instrument is planned for August-September this year. Purpose The instrument is being piloted to assess its validity and practical application, as well as to test the electronic version of the instrument. Research design and methods The research is conducted prospectively, by observational and face-to-face interpolation method. Data are collected as standard using a pilot questionnaire. Data collection in the participating medical institutions will be carried out electronically and in paper version (with the same questionnaire). EpiInfo 7.2 version was used to create the electronic version of the questionnaire and the database. Data from the paper version will also be registered in the electronic database, which provides: 1. A database for comparing the electronic version and the paper version, 2. Duplicate data entry for comparison, and 3. Taking into account the additional comments and recommendations on the paper version in the final version of the questionnaire. Selection There are currently 297 registered inpatient medical institutions in Georgia. Of these, the bed facilities of 12 institutions are more than 200 beds, and 40 institutions - from 100 to 200 beds.
