I am writing to apply for the role of Project Manager of the PIU under the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. I feel that my experience aligns well with qualifications you are seeking for this role.

With degrees in biology and business administration, more than 10 years of project management experience with IFC, World Bank Group and more than 15 years of experience advising government and private sector stakeholders at policy level and implementing sector level and firm level engagements across different sectors, I feel I offer a unique combination of knowledge and expertise to help achieve the objectives of this role.

  • Throughout my 10+ years of experience with IFC, I led IFC’s Advisory Projects in Europe and Central Asia. These projects together helped generate over $250 million in increased sales and attract over $300 million of investments by client companies. All of the 4 multi-year donor funded projects I helped design and deliver, were rated as successful by the Independent Evaluation Group of the World Bank (IEG). Most recently, IFC Agribusiness Standards Project in Europe and Central Asia, which I developed and led, has been recognized by IEG as the best practice example in terms of design and implementation.
  • Over the course of my work with IFC I led projects throughout entire project life-cycle, overseeing implementation, reporting, results management, budget management as well as procurement of goods and services. I am well versed in WBG procurement policies and regulations, as well as Environmental and Social Management Framework. 
  • My experience with the healthcare sector is related to IFC’s efforts to develop Public-Private-Partnership opportunities in the healthcare sector in Georgia in 2018-2019. Back in 2007 I have been involved in the reform of administrative procedures for import of pharmaceutical products with USAID Georgia Business Climate Reform Project.  
  • Experience has also taught me how to build strong relationships, communicate effectively and deliver strong results in tight deadlines. I believe this experience, coupled with my education and training, would help me succeed in this role.
