UPDATES ON THE CURRENT SITUATION FOR MY FAMILY

Before re –Request for children's support or Job. First, support them with food. As I see they will die of stomach hungry in our slum.

Kenya is under Curfew due to COVID -19 epidemic as from dated 27th March 2020 and its effect time as from 7.00 pm – 5.00 am Kenyan Time.   On 6th of April our President had mentioned four Counties Lock Down including Nairobi County Where we live in one of the Largest Slums in Africa known as Kibra.

Unfortunately to his speech, he did not give directions on how his government will support slum dwellers with food nor give cash to buy. As a hustler who is living in a slum.

The casual jobs we perform in the city as a hawker is only for food and for sure it’s as little as you cannot bank even a single cent for tomorrow. That’s why am shouting with a loud voice for the world to hear my cry  for help towards children before it happens.

As the bible says:   For everyone who asks he receives, he who seeks finds and to those who knock the door will be opened. Matthew 7: 8.

Am not after Money but food for children, but if you are far away you can send through  My number and also if you can direct where I can pick food also this will be a wonderful decision.

Hope you will hear my cry for help towards children food, Imagine how we are serving and living in  a slum and bear in mind if the case

was  yours too  you could also seek help from well-wishers who has the heart to help.  kindly help them.

My Name is Milton Kioko Kyuli phone no: +254 721663986. If you want to know more about my family kindly refer to the previous letter I wrote.

RE:                 REQUEST  FOR  CHILDREN  NOR  GIVE  JOB  2020

As stated above, I humbly seek assistance to educate my children and my three late sisters’ children.

I am Milton Kenyan citizen by birth and reside in Yatta Division in Machakos County.

Ever since the passing on my three sisters in the year 2000, 2005 and 2006, I have been shouldering the responsibilities of educating my children and eight orphan children,

Looking unto their welfare such as education, ensuring good clothing, food, and shelter as well as taking care of my old ailing mother. Seven of the children are now grown-ups and have since gone their ways to seek a living.

Five are still under my care.

Martin did last year’s standard eight exams and was offered a chance at Life-spring Christian Academy which is near our residential slums, Southlands in Kibra but now there are no fees to see him through secondary school.

Instead, Martin joined Kaseve Secondary School, the school which I could afford to pay school fees and also the school administration already knew my predicament and they will help whenever we are stuck. Though he isn’t performing well he had no choice other than join it.

Millicent now joined form two but due to lack of fees she is usually sent home now and again and this has led to her dropping in performance.

Kevin did form four in 2019 and his dream was to join the college of Earth Moving Machines as a Plant Operator but due to huge outstanding fee balances, he cannot get results and I cannot raise college fees.

Mary did her form four exams and joined the college of catering and Hotel Management as it was her dream to be a caterer. She is now at home due to lack of fees.

Edward did form four; his dream was to become an Engineer. He is now roaming about in Ngong Kajiado County looking for a living.

Briefly, Yatta Division temporarily supports agricultural direction since it is a semi-arid (marginal area) which I pay little attention to agricultural sustainability practice in the area,  this means that livelihood depends so much on my strength and effort of my ability to sustain my immediate family comprising of my wife and children and 2 children of my sisters’ in terms of education and basic needs.

Nowadays education is the key factor of society is valued so much that every child deserves it and requires the same knowledge means also in terms of school fee payment.  On the other hand, I suffer the same problem of paying school fees to the number of children and I am desperately pleading for help.

The issue that is stressing me is, I have raised them with so much struggle, educating them was a big challenge. I struggled to educate the so that they can fend for themselves but now are hawking in Nairobi City which does not get them much proceeds.

I beg for assistance either for support of one child or all with fees or give them jobs. As my children, I know them well if given jobs they will open bank accounts where they will be saving some small amounts each month and I believe they will train themselves and this will enable them to realize their dreams.

Kevin and Martin are performing well in sports, football and are good dancers in their church and also play the piano. Millicent is a choir chorister. Mary was a college chair lady now usher in their church.  Edward is a church usher and performs other church duties.

It’s not so much we need help but is because we don’t have a well-paid job. I and my wife Winnie we are strong and healthy to do any kind of job either professional, manual or laborer to provide and raise our family especially children in education.

Her mother is working in a flower farm in Kericho County to get some money to supplement in the needs in the house and school. For sure in tea farms they are not employed on a permanent basis, they are hired on casual contracts and paid as per the work they do in a day.

I Milton am competent “A, B, C, E, I” driver with vast experience I have worked with different companies and organization including light and heavy trucks both manual and automatic / greaser/caretaker/security work  trained in Well Fargo and Pinkerton private security firms.

NB: When I was still strong and energetic with a good paid job, I used to volunteer with all my heart and strength to take full responsibilities but for now due to lack of permanent job and meager pay, I am not able to meet all their needs and that’s why am seeking for intervention and see them through school.

If there is a vacancy where I can work and support my family instead of putting you with the burden of raising students, I would really appreciate an offer. Also, if my careers will not match in your firm, company or organization I beg for the children's support in education and sponsorship. And this will depend on your wish, please.

In Nairobi, I am living in a slum known as Southland Kibra Langata in Nairobi County.  In a snapshot Kibra slums is subdivided into various subsections namely; Gatwikira, Mashimoni, Laini Saba, Soweto, Karanja and Southlands. This was done so to enable easy access for visitors vising the area.

On 28 Feb 2018, there was a fire accident engulfed our living quarters while at Nairobi city hawking and nothing was salvaged apart from the documents that I sent to you but if you require proof, I can gather my and children and my supporting documents from their schools, colleges and churches and the companies and the organization I have worked for.

As for the children I have attached their fee structures, birth certificates, church certificates, sports performance certificate and family photo including I their father Milton, their mother Winnie, our residential home and our security Dog in Yatta in Machakos County

You are welcome to make visit to our permanent home in Yatta Machakos County and meet our whole family including my old mum and if possible, you visit our Nairobi slum Southlands kibra and see how we are living.

I believe in God you will understand and hear the cry of my children.

Thanks
