Is there an established tariff for COVID-19 inpatient treatment?
The cost of outpatient diagnosis of COVID 19 (except PCR, antibody and antigen test) is 150 GEL
The COVID 19 confirmation case is managed at the actual cost.
If not, could we get the average prices for private hospitals or reimbursement rates from SSA for the following:
Average payment for respiratory infections and inflammations with major comorbidities or complications [less severe cases] –
240 Gel per hospital day
Average payment for respiratory diagnosis with ventilator support > 96 hours [more severe cases] -
450 Gel per hospital day
How does the government currently pay for COVID-19 inpatient cases?
What is the average length of stay?
average length of stay is 14-21 Day
What % of patients are in ICUs (with/without ventilation)? – about 2%
2.1% of patients are in ICUs without ventilation from the COVID19 confirmation cases
1.5% of 2.1% of patients are in ICUs with ventilation from the COVID19 confirmation cases
