Dear colleagues,
I would like to wish you all the best for the New Year that entered into its third week already.
And in this first communication of 2020 I am happy to share with you a good news: the GA Fifth Committee
did not approve proposed post cuts in any of the Regional Commissions and left our regular budget P2 post intact. We will now initiate recruitment process and in the meantime our colleague Lisa Warth will stay with us on a temporary short term contract.
Also, as a follow-up to our discussion at the 12th WGA meeting, I would like to share with you a preliminary programme of the UNECE Regional Forum on Sustainable Development to be held in Geneva on 19-20 March 2020 and encourage
to consider taking part in it.
