You are invited to the Global Research and Innovation Forum on COVID-19 that will take place on 1 and 2 July 2020 from 13h00 to 15h30 CET (local time in Geneva, Switzerland). The forum will take place using virtual technology, further information is provided below.

DAY 1

1)      Critical research findings and their Impact on the response to COVID-19

2)      Progress with the implementation of the global research roadmap

DAY 2

1)      Emerging research questions and the science gaps

2)      New research priorities for the Global Research Roadmap

The forum will bring together researchers, developers and funders from all around the world. The following research topics will be discussed:

• virus: natural history, transmission and diagnostics;
• animal and environmental research on the virus origin, and management measures at the human-animal interface;
• epidemiological studies;
• clinical characterization and management;
• infection prevention and control, including health care workers' protection;
• candidate therapeutics R&D;
• candidate vaccines R&D;
• ethical considerations for research and;
• integrating social sciences in the outbreak response.
