I thank you very much for your both emails. The Donor assistance tracker – I have not received this version before, so no duplicationJ Yes, I fully agree with steps you suggested to Lika on identification and preparation of the EUD support.
Keep in touch,
Nika

Dear Nika,
For your information please find below the correspondence with Lika. In my last message I proposed the steps of the needs assessment and the formulation of funding requests from donors. Both the required commodities, the assessment tool and the available capacities are introduced in the attachment.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best wishes,
Lajos

Tárgy: Re: Current Covid-19 Response
Dear Lika,
Thank you for sharing these tables with me. I worked on those as follows.
Step 1: Please find attached a new table that I created by having merged the relevant information from the other two tables. The colors hopefully are self-explaining.
Step 2: Regarding the needs, please refer to the WHO tool attached. Please note that in the current version I already selected Georgia and set a few indicators. Please feel free to change the settings according to your best knowledge and assumptions. The needs will be estimated automatically. You may please also discuss it with the Ministry of Health. (source: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/technical-guidance/covid-19-critical-items)
Step 3: Once the needs are estimated by using the WHO tool, a) the number of beds, health care workers, laboratory staff can be compared with the capacities available in the pre-selected hospitals across the country in the three phases (see Step 1 above); b) the equipment, consumables, and other commodities needed can be included either in the domestically procured/ensured packages or requested from the donor agencies (at this point please also refer to the updated donor tracker sent in different message). Regarding the commodities, please refer to the COVID-19 Commodity Packages attached (source: file:///C:/Users/lkova/iCloudDrive/Toshiba%201/Present%20Projects/Georgia%20-%20Sofreco/EUD/COVID19/WHO/WHO%20commodities%20dcp-ncov-v4.pdf).
Step 4: If any commodities are required from the donor agencies (see Step 3.b above), the request/s need to be formulated according to the needs assessment.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best wishes,
Lajos

Tárgy: Re: Current Covid-19 Response
Dear Lajos,
Sending two excel sheets.
The first one “copy of Appendix 2” - contains information about healthcare facilities. Specifically, phase 1 - hospitals engaged in COVID-19 response with current prevalence; phase 2 - as the incidence goes up, notifications will be sent to the hospitals to empty the beds and prepare for response; phase 3 - as incidence goes higher more hospitals get engaged.
The second “Hospitals 3.04" is current hospital capacities.
I suppose we can cross-check these excel documents and estimate needs. Of course, we will have more information tomorrow after the call with DM Gabunia. What do you think?
Best, Lika
