Can you please update me on the conference on Purchasing of Health Care Services in Georgia: Challenges and Policy Options scheduled for 19 March 2020, in accordance with Tamar's message below. I guess, however, that it may not be organized in March, considering the current situation regarding international travel bans and other restrictions due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Attached is the draft agenda for the event on selective contracting and strategic purchasing. We are still working on the speakers, here is the list of participants to the event:

 

  1. Soonman KWON, Professor, School of Public Health, Seoul National University
  2. Wilm Quentin, senior research fellow with expertise in payment systems and costing, (https://www.mig.tu-berlin.de/menue/ueber_uns/research_fellows/quentin/parameter/en/),

 

Besides me and Ira, the following World Bank staff will attend the event:

1- Tania Dmytraczenko, our practice manager covering Europe and Central Asia region

2- Sebastian Molineus, country director for south caucuses countries including Azerbaijan.

3- Ajay Tandon, lead economist (waiting for confirmation)

4- Andreas Seiter, global lead, expert on private sector engagement and pharmaceutical sector

5- Adrien Dozol, senior specialist with extensive experience in hospital sector.

 

There may be a few other speakers. Attached is the draft agenda. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.
