Subject: WHO-led rapid appraisal exercise
Dear Ketevan,
Hope you are staying well and safe in this difficult period.
This week, our WHO/Europe Mental Health Programme team is contacting the national focal points who collaborated with us during the assessment phase of the
Project on long-term institutions for adults with psychosocial and intellectual disabilities to enable institutions that were assessed in 2017 (or other major long-term facilities in your country) to voluntarily participate in a WHO-led rapid appraisal
exercise in the context of identified challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The information can be provided in English via the following link
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6Z55H8R by
11 June 2020.
This work is carried out in line with WHO’s Emergency Response Framework, and as an integral part of the EURO COVID-19 Incident Management System and Support Team. Please note that the purpose of this work is
not to make comparisons between countries or between institutions within countries; rather, we want to be able to understand
what the challenges have been, what has worked well in responding to these challenges, and
what lessons are being learned for the future recovery and restoration of services for people with mental health conditions and psychosocial disabilities. We do not require any personal identification of respondents and their respective facilities.
Many thanks in advance for your generous help and I am staying at your disposal for any additional information.
With best wishes,
Melita
