Dear Keti,
Many thanks for your email and I hope you are well!
If I understand it correctly, the COVID-19 Ag rapid test are detecting if there is an infection present, while
IgG/lgM
are serological tests are showing the level of antibodies after an infection, recommended to be used for serosurveillance studies. Is that the intent for the use the IgG/lgM for in this project?
At the moment we have EUR 30.820 in the BL 3.5.23 in your budget (see attached) for IgG/lgM tests (a EUR 9.20/testX3350 tests= EUR 30.820), which should be updated. Still fitting within
the same budget of EUR 30.820, could you please provide me with the same information for COVID19-Ag rapid tests (EUR cost/test and total number of tests), and distribution between COVID19-Ag rapid tests and IgG/lgM tests - if your intention is still to procure
them in addition to the COVID19-Ag rapid tests.
Attached in this email you will find your budget, with some small updates (no substance), only removal of the contingency reserve which was not included in the total of lasts submitted budget EUR 52,444.80, and some clarifying suggestions
on updates in the justification part. Please have a look and confirm if it looks ok from your side, after updating with information according to above.
Please let me know if you have any questions. We can also talk on phone if needed.
All the best,
Kim

Dear Kim
COVID19-Ag rapid tests and IgG/lgM are serological tests and are using serosurveillance studies. If it is possible we can buy both tests and reduce number of tests.
With bets regards, Keti

Dear Keti,
Many thanks for your email and your valuable input. Would you be ok then that we update the budget with
COVID19-Ag rapid tests instead as WHO recommendation is that
IgG/lgM is to be only used serosurveillance studies? Please let me know what you think.
All the best,
Kim

Dear Kim,
Thank you for your attention and support.
According to the laboratory testing algorithm (Ministerial decree N01-144/o 01.04.2020), laboratories use COVID19-Ag rapid tests (cost per unit $15 by WHO) and COVID19- IgG/lgM Tests to diagnose
covid-19.
With best regards, Keti

Dear Keti,
Just following up on our conversation this morning as we understand that the IgG/lgM test are only
recommended for serosurveillance studies. If you could provide me with another test type or two as well as cost/test, that would be great. This is the last piece of information I would need from my side before I will send you the budget again
for review and ask you to fill in a few last documents needed for contracting.
All the best,
Kim
