Dear Adrien and Volkan,

I hope this note finds you and your families well. I am reaching out to share an opportunity for a peer-to-peer learning exchange that we hope may be of interest to your counterpart in Georgia.

As countries grapple with COVID-19, strong primary health care can provide a critical first line of defense and response to keep people safe and healthy. The Primary Health Care Performance Initiative (PHCPI) and Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage  (JLN) are initiating 3 short-term working groups over the course of 2-3 weeks each to further explore primary health care-related topics related to COVID-19 response and recovery. These short-term working groups will seek to further prioritize issues related to three topics:

  1. Maintaining Essential Services at the Primary Care Level during the Pandemic
    • Virtual convening: June 16th; Online discussion June 16th-26th
    • Registration closes June 12th
  2. Understanding and utilizing data to inform COVID-19 response and recovery
    • Virtual convening: June 22nd; Online discussion June 22nd- July 3rd
    • Registration closes June 17th
  3. Ensuring PHC serves as a cornerstone for health system future planning
    • Virtual convening: June 29th; Online discussion June 29th- July 10th
    • Registration closes June 24th

For each topic, the short-term working group offering will consist of:

  1. A 90-minute virtual meeting, including some technical presentations sharing country experiences
  2. Facilitated discussion via discussion board and online polling over the course of 2-3 weeks

Descriptions of each of the topics and suggested participant profiles can be found in the attachment. Please use the registration links to sign up for one or more of the short-term working groups, and share with others who may be interested/available to participate.

We hope you may want to share this opportunity to any interested colleagues from Georgia. We would welcome participation from up to two people per country that you could recommend.

Thank you.

Best,

Federica
