Dear Nika
Many thanks for your reply. It would be great to have you joining the meeting. I think it would be good for us to have a separate meeting to discuss
progress made so far and next steps for NHS as well as other EC supported initiatives.
I kindly ask Nata Kvernadze to set the meeting time.
With kind regards
Tamar

Dear Lajos
Many thanks for putting this together. It is very timely know to agree upon the strategy development methodology and mover ahead with the process itself. I am forwarding the document to Mr. Giorgi
Tchavchavadze, Head of Policy Unit. I think it would be helpful if Lika could have a working meeting with the health policy unit staff to discuss the methodology, obtain their feedback and plan immediate action steps.
With kind regards
Tamar

Subject: Developing National Health Strategy
Dear Tamar,
As part of our support to the Ministry of Health, Lika and I have prepared
a guide to development of National Health Strategy.
This guide is intended for use during the process of developing National Health Strategy. Government agencies and other key stakeholders in the health sector, both public and non-public/private
sector, shall cooperate in the process of policy and strategic plan development, and follow a collaborative and evidence-based approach. The guide introduces to the key aspects and addresses the relevant issues while recommending on both content and process
for strategic development. It provides details to ensure a systematic approach while it is fully aligned with the corresponding national legislation. International experiences and best practices shall also be considered during the strategic planning therefore
the guide serves as a master document based on review and assessment of practices relevant and applicable to Georgia.
All the documents we have produced so far, as well as the series of meetings with key stakeholders
fit well into this approach.
We would be happy to present the methodology for the development of National Health Strategy and the structure of the corresponding deliverables to you.
Can you please suggest an appointment when we can further discuss our support to the development of the National Health Strategy.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best wishes,
Lajos
