Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to share with you a preliminary version of the paper “Mapping age- and sex-specific HIV prevalence in sub-Saharan Africa over time”, produced as part of the Local Burden of Disease (LBD) project. This paper presents estimates for age- and sex-specific HIV prevalence and the number of people living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa for the years 2000-2018, modeled at a 5 × 5-km resolution and presented at the second administrative level. We aim to submit this publication to Nature.
