As the novel coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak continues to spread around the world, the next global economic recession is already upon us. According to preliminary calculations by ISET Policy Institute, Georgia’s baseline GDP growth in 2020 may decline by as much 4.2 percentage points (pp), depending on the severity of economic impact in the region and globally.

Enclosed Policy Note suggests analysis of the potential impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Georgian economy, as well as analysis of measures to mitigate impacts of the local and global crises.

ახალი კორონავირუსის (COVID-19) აფეთქებამ მთელი მსოფლიო მოიცვა, რის გამოც გლობალური ეკონომიკური რეცესია უკვე რეალობა გახდა.
