Dear Friends and Partners,

After almost 4 years in Georgia, it is time for me to leave for Paris.

I am not especially gifted for “au-revoir”, but I cannot leave without underlining how pleased and privileged I feel to have had the opportunity to work with all of you during my stay in Georgia. Opening the regional office of AFD in the South Caucasus and developing projects in such important sectors for the Georgian population like social protection, health, energy, water, transport, agriculture or regional development has been a fascinating challenge I was lucky to take up with your support and collaboration.

I would like to  warmly thank you for your continuous cooperation, trust and friendship.

Starting from the end of August, Mr. Raphaël Jozan has been appointed as the Director of AFD regional office in the South Caucasus. I am very confident that together you will continue to develop great projects contributing to accompany Georgia’s effort to further promote social inclusiveness and sustainable economic growth in a post-covid context.
