Dear Ms.
Goginashvili,
My name is Dr. Srinivas Tata, the Director of the Social Development Division of ESCAP. The work of our Division covers population ageing
and we collaborate with Ms. Vitalija Gaucaite from the Economic Commission for Europe, who recommended you as a speaker.
ESCAP, and partners are organizing the Fourth North and Central Asian Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (Subregional SDG Forum) in virtual format (and bilingually EN-RU) from 2-4 September 2020. For more details
on the event, please find attached the forum concept note and a preliminary programme (updates can also be found here:
https://www.unescap.org/events/2020NCA_SDG).
Given your longs-standing expertise in the field of ageing and Georgia being a country with comprehensive policies on ageing, it would be a
great honour if you would accept our invitation to speak as one of the panelists at Session 3 of the Forum, which will be held on 3 Sep from 10:00am-12:00pm (2hrs) Nursultan time. Session 3 is co-organized by ESCAP, UNESCO, UN Women and WHO and focuses
on “Leaving No One Behind: Human Well-Being and Health”
- from responding to COVID-19 to achieving the SDGs.
Upon your brief email confirmation at your earliest convenience, ESCAP would follow up with an official invitation letter and further information on the Session (including confirmation of other speakers that are currently confirmed by the co-organizers).
Looking forward to your positive reply as your views would greatly enrich the discussions,
Kind regards,
Srinivas Tata
