Dear Ketevan,
I hope you are well in these Corona times. I am sure there is a lot of work, but I would appreciate your help with clarifying the hospital admission estimates for Georgia below which you kindly submitted for the CAH survey.
We have asked about these data in 2017 and 2020. They are rather discrepant, and there is a large decrease reported between 2017 and 2020, and a difference between the reported rate and our calculated number. Do you have insight into this,
or can point me to somebody with whom we can possibly discuss?
Best wishes, and thanks for your help.
Martin

Dear Martin,
While looking into Georgia’s response on the 2017 & 2020 CAH Survey, there were some discrepancies found which could be great to get some insight or explanation back from Georgia.
Georgia has reported the following to our 2017 & 2020 Survey on hospitalization rates.

Georgia has also provided the number of hospital admissions for each respective age group, and by using that we calculated a new rate.
However, there seem to some discrepancies with the children Under 5 hospitalization rate and the number of admissions they reported.
Could this perhaps be a denominator issue (Under 18 population vs. under 5 children)?
Either way it would great to get some insight from Georgia.
The contact information for Georgia would be:

Best,
