როგორც თქვენთვის ცნობილია, 2020 წლის 2 მარტის წერილით (ელექტრონული ფოსტის საშუალებით) მსოფლიო ჯანდაცვის ორგანიზაციისთვის (WHO) ქალთა მიმართ ძალადობის საკითხებზე საკონტაქტო პირად (focal point) სსიპ სახელმწიფო ზრუნვისა და ტრეფიკინგის მსხვერპლთა, დაზარალებულთა დახმარების სააგენტოდან (შემდგომში -  სახელმწიფო ზრუნვის სააგენტო) წაროდგენილი იქნა ჩემი, ირმა ალადაშვილის, კანდიდატურა.

მსოფლიო ჯანდაცვის ორგანიზაციიდან (WHO) მიღებული კორესპონდენციის და დოკუმენტების საფუძველზე (გთხოვთ იხილოთ წერილი ქვემოთ და თანდართული ფაილები), მინდა გაცნობოთ, რომ მხოლოდ სახელმწიფო ზრუნვის სააგენტოს წარმომადგენლის მონაწილეობა არ არის საკმარისი. მეტიც, აუცილებელია მსოფლიო ჯანდაცვის ორგანიზაციასთან საკონტაქტო პირად განისაზღვროს სამინისტროს პოლიტიკის დეპარტამენტის წარმომადგენელი (ჯანდაცვის საკითხების კუთხით) ან/და  ჯანდაცვის საკითხებზე მომუშავე პირი, რომელიც, ასევე, სასურველია ფლობდეს ინფორმაციას ქალთა მიმართ ძალადობის საკითხებზეც.

ვინაიდან 7  და 11 მაისს ჩანიშნულია ღონისძიებები, გთხოვთ რელევანტური კანდიდატის შესახებ დამატებით აცნობოთ ჯანდაცვის მსოფლიო ორგანიზაციას.

გთხოვთ გვაცნობოთ სამინისტროს გადაწყვეტილება.

Dear focal point(s),

I refer to the Circular Letter 50.2019 (please find attached) dated 27 December 2019 which concerns the designation of focal points and the process of consultation on draft estimates on intimate partner violence against women (SDG indicator 5.2.1).

We are now able to share the preliminary intimate partner violence against women estimates for 2018. Please find attached two files with regard to the estimates for your country for your review:

• pdf file with a summary of the statistical method (Technical note)
• pdf file with the estimates for 2018 (based on data from surveys/studies conducted between 2000 and 2018), data sources included and excluded and covariates used for adjustment (Country profile)

We will  be organising an interactive webinar to present the methods and modelling approaches along with a Q&A session. This will take place on Thursday 7th May at 9.00 am EST and Monday 11th May at 22.00 pm EST. Details of the webinar links will be circulated shortly. We hope that one of these two dates will enable you to attend.

We kindly invite you to critically review these documents and in particular the country profile. Please inform us of any potentially missing data sources that meet our inclusion criteria (i.e. population-based survey/study, representative at the national or sub-national level and used acts-based measures of violence), consulting with other relevant ministries as appropriate. The country consultation process for the intimate partner violence against women estimates will close on 30 May 2020. This date now replaces the preliminary date mentioned in the Circular Letter.  We would appreciate receiving your feedback by this date. Please send your feedback to: vawestimates@who.int. Submissions made after this date may not be considered in the final publication of country estimates.

We realize that this is a challenging time and that you may be overstretched dealing with COVID-19. At the same time the pandemic has highlighted the importance of addressing domestic/intimate partner violence which makes this a timely effort.
