From the WE4AHA project, we would like to inform you about the remaining planning for 2020 and some relevant information that we have for the EIP on AHA activity post-2020.
The mandate of all European Innovation Partnerships (EIPs) finalises in December 2020. Considering that the EIP on AHA has been an extremely successful initiative, the EC is considering a future for the EIP on AHA. In fact, WE4AHA has been asked to work with an Internal Working Group composed by representatives from the Action Groups and Reference Sites to conceive a Sustainability Plan for the EIP on AHA after 2020.
This Partnership has now been confirmed and will build on the following major ongoing initiatives:
- European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA) - Active and Assisted Living programme (AAL) - More Years, Better Lives Joint Programming Initiative (JPI MYBL)

The Call for Thematic Workshops for Reference Sites aims to foster a better connection between demand and supply sides of the active and healthy ageing market, and to prepare the ground for the full deployment of the scaling-up strategy, a cornerstone of the EIP on AHA cycle 2018-2020. Member States, with the support of the Commission, have published guidelines to ensure interoperability between mobile tracing and warning apps across EU. These are common principles to ensure tracing apps can communicate with each other when required, so citizens only have to use one app to report a positive test or to receive an alert, wherever they are in the EU. |
