We are pleased to be informed that you have been nominated as the focal point for reviewing the updated WHO’s Global Health Estimates (GHE) for all-cause mortality, causes of death and burden of diseases.

Given the current situation of COVID-19, we understand that Member States are shifting priorities and resources towards stopping the epidemic and protecting their populations. Therefore, considering the time commitment required for reviewing the estimates, we feel it may be most appropriate to postpone the consultation for GHE until later this year to better support Member States’ current focus on ending the coronavirus crisis.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude for the feedbacks received from you in this challenging time and for your continued support for our work on GHE. We will update you with a new schedule for the consultation in due course. And in the meantime, we wish the best for you and your country.
