Will the Regional Forum 2020 still take place?
The Regional Forum will take place on 19 March 2020, from 10:00-18:00, at the Palais des Nations. As a response to the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19), the Regional
Forum will be scaled-down with physical participation limited to Geneva-based stakeholders only.

How can I participate?
If you are based in Geneva, you can join us in person in
room XIX (Palais des Nations). All Geneva-based stakeholders – representatives of Permanent Missions, civil society, UN system, private sector, academia – are welcome to participate in person on 19 March. If you don’t
hold a UNOG badge, please register
here. Registrations for the original meeting are no longer valid.
Only Geneva-based participants will be granted access to the meeting.
Online participation will be open to everyone. We are currently exploring different web-based options for a meaningful, participatory meeting. We will share further details soon.

Will pre-meetings and side events take place?
Unfortunately, we had to cancel
all pre-meetings and side events.
The SDG fair with its booths will also not take place.

What if I already made travel arrangements?
We are sorry to inform you that you will need to
cancel your travel arrangements if you planned to come to Geneva. We as organizers
regret these unforeseen developments and strongly hope for your understanding.

Why all these changes?
Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19),
the Regional Forum cannot take place as planned. In order to prevent or delay the spread of the disease, our measures aim to reduce the number of participants in the room and discourage international travel. For us as organizers, this is a regrettable situation
and we are doing our best to adapt to these unforeseen circumstances. We count on your full support to still make the Regional Forum 2020 a platform for meaningful exchange – let’s join forces at the #RFSD2020
to kickstart the Decade of Action in our region!
