Sign up to this webinar, which will showcase innovative responses of mutual benefit societies in Latin America and other countries in the context of the global pandemic. This will also be an occasion to look at how the COVID-19 crisis has reinforced the importance of nurses and care staff, as well as online services for the most vulnerable groups, where telecare has become vital for people with reduced mobility because of their health status or confinement restrictions. The webinar is organised in collaboration with the ISSA Technical Commission on Mutual Benefit Societies.

The webinar will examine the following questions:

  • What strategies have been implemented to protect and provide services to vulnerable groups?
  • How has the work of nurses and caregivers been supported?
  • What have been the most effective ways to communicate to the public the modification or introduction of new benefits in the context of the pandemic?
  • How have internal communications within institutions been maintained in times of compulsory remote work?
  • What have been the main achievements and challenges in the provision of online and telecare services?
  • What characteristics of mutual benefit societies have been most relevant to a successful provision of services in the context of the pandemic?

The webinar is open to ISSA members and invited institutions. There is no registration fee.
