And how (as well as - why) it is so that - even in 2021 already - here is such (C) data kept on the official web sites absolutely not up-to-date for years?!

(While at the same time guys representing governmental agencies and such institutional structures in Georgia enjoin strictly to meet all the formal and informal requirements! Some 'double standards' brought to be faced?)

Proven perfectly well how in fact their real efforts now are about to avoid the painful truth - how the members of this Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency with other ones in relations with Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia [plus - representing (in their way) Georgia with its institutions itself] had offered and told:

01) To fake information and to do so to get the only way to submit the application!

02) To submit the documentation during the rest of time (counted by GITA's Chairman exactly - in hours and minutes); while in amount of those hours and minutes left back then was misleading - counted, calculated, as well as told by him and in our case but based on Georgia's time-zone!!

03) To treat Georgian language and text translation into it (as a mandatory requirement in the documentation) simply as a formality nobody reads and cares about!!!

Is so that only by having records of text, video, and audio (during the corresponding via e-mail, the meeting via "Zoom", and the phone calls via "WhatsApp") and only by having made it available publicly online / on web this would and could bring finally your right attention and awareness?

Therefore, it was not eligible for evaluation.

As also noted previously, if you still wish to make an appeal or lodge a complaint, you can do so by email, at esmf@gita.gov.ge or by post, at: GITA, #7, Innovation str. 0114, TechPark, Okrokana, Tbilisi, Georgia.

Have to reach you all this week already.

Is it so that only public awareness online may be a way to tell the world what it really means & how it truly feels to face those lame situations GITA’s guys had put us in?
We paid our price because of all it.
While there are persons who are even paid for bringing such results and consequences.

Or all this starting from 2020 should another portion of facts of such differences; differences in PR + Global advertising of the country with its institutions/organizations and the reality and experience faced so far?

Hi,

Last month (on 2021-01-21) all three of you also have received the email that was sent to:

dmalpass@worldbank.org

akant@worldbank.org

mandjelkovic@worldbank.org

As today is 3rd of February - time to follow up and see what are updates on your end and at the organisation now you do represent. (Or - are those situations we had to face so far simply some painful & inconvenient reality better to be left hidden?)

Hello,

This time have to reach you already - at the office of the World Bank. Because The World Bank Group you do represent participates in this Investment Project Financing No. P169599: http://documents1.worldbank.org/curated/en/131791545202539953/pdf/Project-Information-Document-PID-Georgia-Increasing-Insititutional-Capacity-for-Innovation-P169599.pdf

And here is what we had to face while were in contact also with that implementing agency - Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency.

By the way, the emails you have forwarded now to you were sent by us also to:

ministry@moesd.gov.ge

info@gov.ge

info@president.gov.ge

And I'm already not talking about how many times we had to keep all them informed.

Neither talking about when they finally fixed those issues left there starting from 2017 or at least 2019.

Those situations are captured by the public source - the Internet/Web Archive - even on 2021 (January 8, 2021). Here are few links:

https://web.archive.org/web/20210108105240/https://grants.gov.ge/en/main

https://web.archive.org/web/20210108105252/https://grants.gov.ge/en/News%20Room/News

Yes, some of it is fixed - updated - by now. Did so silently and without any responses.

Well, not asking for a thank-you email or letter. The main question is why we had to face all that (about what you will or may read below).

I do understand - nobody is perfect (neither on micro or macro levels nor in personal or country-level). But why because of those so called 'double-standards' our team had faced the mess and the consequences?

Won't repeat how surprisingly it was to hear from the Chairman that translation into Georgian is just a formality and nobody cares about it or reads it. (While we - during the days of Christmas time, season holidays, and strict lockdown at the same time - did our best (even if unsuccessfully) to find out who here may take care about having all those docs & info (application & documentation GITA's management asks for) translated into Georgian.)

Also won't go into details how it truly feels to find out (during few minutes left before having GITA's team contacted as already agreed and planned) you simply are informed they changed the communication way / channel, as well as the topic of such conversation.

Even won't ask all you there at least to imagine how it is to hear from the Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency team member that the mentioned documentation has to be filled in a fake way: yes, if applicants still have no company established and registered - the submission form online at http://grants.gov.ge has to be filled up by providing any name/brand/title of an entity/company and also with entering non existing number/code of such 'company' (9 or 12 zeros in a row). Otherwise, as the GITA's manager said, there won't be a way to submit the application at all!

So more that too much to face in fact... While officially - offline & online - so many things before all that were represented so perfectly and so attractive that after - in comprising with such reality - have no clue why had to go through all this experience and to face the consequences we are left with.

Julius and the team

Happy New Year!

And even if the quote/saying reminds us that "What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger" - let's hope 2021 will be less challenging with the situations we all had to face worldwide...

At the same time now - it will be great to see how during this January or February our SelfieElate project and startup finally becomes a part of the Georgia's Silicon Valley in Batumi.

And also will be great to see how GITA (Georgia's Innovation & Technology Agency) as implementing agency in that partnership with WBG (The World Bank Group) truly pays attention so at least in 2021 its official website - representing this WBG's initiative - welcomes visitors with updated news (and - as you see from the screenshots attached to this email - not with the last ones dated by 2019)

https://web.archive.org/web/20201030123657/https://grants.gov.ge/en/News%20Room/News

as well as doesn't stay stuck still in 2017 (if to pay attention to the footer there)

P.S. Yes, after having us pointed to all this (and GITA's staff - fixed) it is still so vexing to see that reality we faced in this case...

I wish I knew from Chairman there that having the documentation translated is just a formality in fact.

(I wish even if can't understand how such position takes its place while for every nation and through ages - the most important things are: its Traditions, its Language, its own Currency, and mutual Respect (at least within).

I am reaching you today as well because in my yesterday’s email month October was mentioned while in fact it has to be November.

Meantime: why is that so nice sounding (verbally) and so elegantly looking (textually) Georgian (as a language) actually is in use almost like formality?
Asking about because also yesterday - during that ‘marathon’ with a speed of ‘sprints’ while we had to prepare and submit those documents - I was told (not once, and by one person) that text translations into Georgian there is something nobody is reading
(while at the same time - officially - almost every part there tells that documentation without translation is to be rejected!)

Hello // Gamarjoba

This email to you both is here now almost right after the situation me and my team had to face today (on Monday 2020-12-28) and during those less than 8 hours of the time while we were informed by the Chairman of Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) that it was the time left to submit all the documents via their Grants Portal...

Honestly - this all would wex probably everyone who truly did his best even today and still is willing to become and be a part of digital economy and activity in so called Silicon Valleys of such great country you do represent.

You will see from the files attached to this email that I even managed somehow not only to translate the prepared documentation, but even to prepare most of it during those hours left till the deadline of submission for a grant. (The submission that is only twice a year.)

Yes, other ones had weeks and months for this possibility to apply for a funding for their projects. While me about such possibility was informed only today - during the conversation with a Chairman of the mentioned Agency.

Can't understand why nothing was mentioned during their first contact on 25th of December. Even if it was the 1st Day of Christmas, I was ready to do what's necessary. But an offer received back then was to get in touch with them the next week. And again I did my best so arranged everything for that call. But only during the call I had been told that - the application submitted for the grant of 100 000 GEL could become a way how GITA could help with its mission. (Because for the one of 650 000 GEL there are extra requirements we do not met by now).

Nevertheless - the time we had left were those hours. As the partial submission is simply prohibited there - we had no other way but to prepare the pack of documents at once and at 'one shot'. This became mission impossible.

We messed up in this case. Not just because most of the docs finally were ready approx. 15 minutes already after the midnight in Georgia. We've been told that such docs should submitted to http://grants.gov.ge even at least an hour before the deadline (2020-12-28 23:59).

So now we lost such chance we had - we had from today, and for today... (While even it was another way to keep on developing this - digital social media - project you've been told a bit about starting from October and all those our follow-ups after...)

What now really could be done in the fastest possible way for us to move on with this Win-Win-Win-Win situation (for Georgia and its Batumi; for the wordwide selfie society; for investors and funders of the SelfieElate project, and for our team)?

Truly nice to see this email received on this Christmas Day!! :))
(And who said that this festive time of every year isn't a time full of meaningful miracles) ;))

OK, how about having our call on Monday (2020-12-28) or Wednesday (2020-12-30).
The second part of those days would be the best time. At 14:00 // 2PM. (As this is UTC+2 in The Baltic States, in your great country it is UTC+4 so 16:00 // 4PM).

P.S. By the way, WhatsApp, Signal, Viber, Wire, or Skype could be a channel for the call? Or should we do so via classical phone call?
Anyway, my direct number is +370 603 02027
