Dear Patrick and team, hope you are doing well!
Following the WHO's July 4th new release, we have few questions;
Firstly, can you please update us on how to proceed with the trial (as we have received all the medications except for the Remedsivir)? Will the Ritonavir/Lopinavir + interferon arm continued?
Can you please send us an updated protocol if such exists?
Secondly, please advise how are we supposed to handle the drugs that are excluded from the trial? (HCQ and Lopinavir/Ritonavir);
Will be looking forward to your response!
Best Regards,
Eka

Dear Patrick,
Hope this email finds you well!
We have received 3 drugs already and will be soon distributing those among the hospitals included in the trial; Though we would like to ask if it is possible to add 5 more facilities to the trial, as the numbers of daily new cases are very low (app. 2 to 10) and they are being hospitalized in a more scattered way; If it’s the WHO allows this, we will proceed with local Regulatory agency and collect necessary documents from those HCFs.
Thank you in advance and have a nice week!
Best Regards,
Eka

Subject: Reminder – Please ensure that all in-hospital outcomes are reported in the Castor EDC web system
Importance: High
Dear Solidarity Trial investigators,
We trust this message finds you well. Thanks to your dedication, hard work and tremendous efforts on Solidarity Trial, we are pleased to inform you that we’ve now surpassed 4,000 patients enrolled.
In sharing this update with you we’d like to take this opportunity to kindly remind all investigators to report all outcomes of the patients enrolled in the trial within the Castor EDC web-based system as soon as trial patients die or are discharged from the hospital. It is very important that you so and as indicated in the study protocol.
Within the Castor EDC system, the in-hospital outcomes are registered in step 7 where you need to specify whether a patient has died, been discharged with palliative care or discharged alive expecting recovery.
We are counting on you to help to do so. It is critical for the Executive Group and the DSMC of Solidarity to use all available information to ensure that reliable results are available in a timely fashion.
Please share this request with all the investigators and hospitals in your country.
Your help on this is greatly appreciated.
With best regards,
The WHO Secretariat on Solidarity
