Let us address you in English as the copy of this letter is shared with our colleague Galyna Romaniuk who is coordinating all the activities planned within this project of Curatio International Foundation.

The aim of his letter is two-fold:

1.                   To make follow up on our previous letter (see below) which aimed at finding out if you had any path forward with finalization of the presentation on your investment case and development of any plans for its implementation and whether we could be of any help

2.                   We would also like to let you know that starting from March 2018 LNCT works on the topics that the Country Groups have found interesting in relation to country transition from Gavi support. One of such topics is Vaccine Procurement. LNCT plans to hold several webinars around this topic with the participation of interested countries and a face-to-face meeting somewhere in June 2018. The webinar should take place in mid-Marc 2018, the next one – in mid-April. These two webinars will prepare participants for the follow up face-to-face meeting in June 2018.

The aim of March Webinar is to introduce the LNCT procurement initiative, sensitize Country Core Groups on their role in coordinating LNCT engagement and outline expectations for participation in the procurement initiative.

March webinar will host CCG FPs and the expected outcome will be confirmed interest to participate, clear understanding of the Country Core Group Role, names and contact information of appropriate individuals who have direct role in procurement of vaccines in their country and who will engage in development of this topic for each country.

April webinar will host the Sub-group established for working on Vaccine Procurement topic.

In order for LNCT to start working with the countries around the Vaccine Procurement topic and jointly develop action plan we kindly request CCG FP of Georgia – Ekaterine Adamia – to:

1. Confirm her as CCG FP’s availability for March webinar;
2. Facilitate naming of Vaccine Procurement Sub-Group members for further work on the topic.

We would appreciate your response on the above at an earliest date.
