Dedicated session on COVID-19 & the Liver
This Digital ILC 2020 interactive session will provide information on:
Whether SARS-CoV-2 can directly infect the liver and what other mechanisms for SARS-CoV-2-induced liver injury have been discussed
General and liver-specific risk factors for SARS-CoV-2 infection and severe COVID-19
The impact of pre-existing liver disease on the outcome of SARS-CoV-2
The management of patients with liver disease during the COVID-19 crisis
EASL recognises the role of nurses and allied health professionals (AHPs) in leading initiatives – to improve education, standards, and ultimately the care for patients with liver disease. This is why we are offering special registration fees for nurses at Digital ILC 2020.
On 29 August, nurses and AHPs have an entire day dedicated to them at Digital ILC 2020. This includes the Nurses & AHPs Forum, poster tours, and oral presentations. The dedicated EASL Nurses and AHPs Task Force will be chairing a large part of the events on this day, so it will be a lovely opportunity to interact with them.
