Dear colleagues,
The updated WHO consolidated guidelines on the use of antiretroviral drugs for treating and preventing HIV infection require further review and clarity to better support
and respond to country needs. In particular, we are conducting an upcoming clinical guideline where we’ll review a few key considerations: (i) infant HIV diagnosis, (ii) HIV treatment monitoring/viral load, and (iii) management of co-morbidities.
As a result, we have developed three values and preferences surveys (please see below). These should be completed by PLHIV, health care workers, and national program managers.
We are hopeful that you might be able to share these surveys with your colleagues and relevant personnel to ensure a good quantity of quality responses as well as geographical diversity.
Kindly note that we request the survey(s) be completed by August 21st.
Many thanks for your usual collaboration and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or queries.
Best regards,
Lara and the WHO team
