Dear all,

I hope you are well. You may have already known by now that I am leaving CDC. I have been offered a position of “Global Director Medical Affairs—Infectious Diseases” at Merck pharmaceuticals. I will be working on the development of SARS-CoV2 (COVID-19) vaccine along with different teams. This will be a challenging task but perhaps a good opportunity, and if successful, will have a huge impact worldwide. While I am transitioning to my new role, I want to personally thank you for our work together and excellent collaboration. It’s my honor to work with you all, and specifically to be associated with the “World’s First HCV Elimination Program.” Under the leadership of Ministry of Health, NCDC and key clinicians from the four major

infectious diseases hospitals, I am sure you will soon eliminate HCV from the country. I have made many friends, and am hopeful that our paths would cross again soon. I would love to stay in touch, and keep you posted on my progress.
