Dear Dr Salami,
We are approaching you with several questions regarding the destruction of Solidarity Trial drugs; If you could help us clarify some of the issues, we would be extremely grateful;
First of all, as we have received the WHO Solidarity Secretariat’s letter of January 6th, 2021, we are ready to perform necessary actions and will be looking forward to receiving the written authorization for destruction. Should we address you regarding the authorization? If not, please advise how to proceed with this.
Secondly, we wanted to double-check that ALL drugs (except remdesivir) should be destroyed even though not all of them have expired? And what is the “deadline” for performing this action? This question arose, as we were wondering if it is possible to destroy the trial drugs when it’s more convenient for the MoH (entity which will be responsible for the action)
Thank you in advance for your kind support!
Best regards,
Alisa Tsuladze, MPH
