World Hepatitis Day 2020: webinar

You are invited to join us on Thursday, 30 July 2020 at 10:30 am CET for a 2-hour webinar organized by FIND in collaboration with the World Hepatitis Alliance (WHA) and the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi).

This virtual event will showcase the preliminary outcomes of the Unitaid-funded Hepatitis C Elimination through Access to Diagnostics (HEAD-Start) project, gathering policymakers and Ministry of Health representatives from each project country, representatives from Coalition PLUS and Treatment Action Group (TAG), and other community leaders, to raise awareness and mobilization around hepatitis C.

This interactive webinar will be moderated by Dr Philippa Easterbrook (HIV department, Global Hepatitis Programme, WHO).

Topics will include:

  • Emerging HEAD-Start evidence from Malaysia, Myanmar, Georgia, India (Delhi, Punjab and Manipur)
  • Early diagnosis of hepatitis C virus and decentralization of hepatitis C services
  • Community awareness and mobilization for tackling hepatitis C

Speakers Sonjelle Shilton (Deputy Head HCV Access at FIND), Professor R P Shanmugam (Executive Board Member for the South-East Asia Region, WHA), and Jean-Michel Piedagnel (Director of Regional Office, DNDi South-East Asia).
