Local CSOs at the forefront of the COVID-19 response

In a new series, R4D is highlighting obstacles faced by local civil society organizations around the world during the pandemic and what donors and INGOs can do differently to support them. The series spotlights the work of ACED in Benin combating poverty and hunger, the Commonwealth Housing Group in Kenya helping people access better housing, Transparency International Rwanda fighting corruption, Asocación BPD in Guatemala working with Mayan communities to improve children’s nutrition, the Foundation for Civil Society in Tanzania providing grants and capacity building services to local CSOs that are combating poverty, and This-Ability in Kenya advocating for the rights and inclusion of women and girls with disabilities across the country.
